Dental emergencies never happen at a convenient time, but you also shouldn't have to suffer through a weekend in pain, or trek across London to a hospital A&E that won't actually treat the problem. We keep urgent appointment slots available every day at our Wimbledon Village practice, with the equipment, expertise and time to actually fix what's wrong on the day.
Whether it's a sudden severe toothache, a broken or chipped tooth, a lost filling or crown, a dental abscess with facial swelling, or a tooth knocked out playing sport, we'll see you quickly, get you out of pain, and explain exactly what's needed. Every emergency visit includes a thorough clinical examination with X-rays as standard, with all further costs confirmed before treatment goes ahead.
A dental abscess or untreated severe toothache can escalate quickly. Wimbledon's hard water, busy lifestyles and tendency to "wait until Monday" mean we see a lot of preventable escalations, minor infections that became major, fractures that grew into root canals. The earlier we see you, the more options we have to save the tooth. Don't wait. If something doesn't feel right, call us.
If it hurts, it's broken, or it's bleeding, we can almost certainly help today.
Persistent or sharp pain, pain when biting, or pain that wakes you at night needs urgent attention. Often resolved with a filling, root canal or extraction depending on severity.
Most broken teeth can be repaired with composite bonding, a crown or, for severe fractures, implant replacement. We'll smooth sharp edges immediately and plan the proper repair.
A lost filling or crown should be replaced quickly to protect what's left of the tooth. We can usually re-cement an existing crown or replace a filling the same day.
Facial swelling, persistent throbbing pain or a bad taste in the mouth often indicate a dental abscess. We'll drain, prescribe antibiotics if needed, and plan definitive treatment.
If you've knocked out an adult tooth, store it in milk and call us immediately. We have a much better chance of successfully re-implanting if you can get to us within an hour.
Persistent gum bleeding, jaw trauma, broken dentures or post-treatment complications, we treat all of these as urgent. If you're unsure, call us and we'll advise.
No surprises, your initial fee covers examination, X-rays and pain relief. Any treatment beyond that is quoted before it starts.
All onward treatment quoted upfront, never billed without your agreement.
£150 for a new patient emergency, £120 for existing patients. Both include a thorough examination, X-rays and immediate pain relief. Any further treatment is quoted before being carried out.
Yes, we keep same-day urgent slots available every weekday morning to evening, and on Saturdays by appointment. Call 020 3034 4044 and we'll get you seen as quickly as possible, usually the same day.
Severe or persistent toothache, broken or chipped tooth, knocked-out tooth, lost filling or crown, dental abscess (often with swelling), bleeding that won't stop, and trauma to the mouth or jaw. If you're unsure, call us.
Pick the tooth up by the crown (not the root), rinse it in milk or saline (not water), and try to place it back in the socket. If you can't, store it in milk and call us immediately, we have a much better chance of saving the tooth within an hour.
